An electrochemical dummy cell, consisting of the usual two resistors and a capacitor, and a combination of several diodes simulate diffusion currents in the case of direct current (DC) and differential current measurements. This dummy cell may be used as a qupck electrochemical analyzer tester to determine the electronic noise level and the operation of the different polarographic modes.
