The reduction process of Europium(III) in the presence of humic acid was investigated by squarewave (SW) voltammetry. The Eu(III)‐humate complex is reduced reversibly, and both the reactant and product of the redox reaction are adsorbed at the electrode surface. The relationship between the properties of the SW response and the parameters of a charge transfer and of the excitation signal are discussed. The SW voltammograms of the Eu‐humate complex are analyzed according to the theoretical predictions.
