The electroanalytical behavior of 8‐chlorotheophylline has been investigated by cyclic voltammetry on a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) and by differential pulse polarography on a dropping mercury electrode (DME). The differential pulse polarography approach offers a simple and yet reliable method for the determination of 8‐chlorotheophylline in pharmaceutical preparations with good accuracy and precision.
