A facile and versatile procedure for the synthesis of new functionalized derivatives of 3‐benzyl‐5‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl) isoxazole‐4‐carbaldehyde oxime has been described. The key step in the synthesis involves the ANRORC reaction of in‐situ generated 3‐(phenylethynyl)‐4H‐chromen‐4‐one with NH 2 OH · HCl.
