Fluorinated substituents confer specific properties to molecules. In the last years, the merging of chalcogenes with trifluoromethyl or fluoroalkyl moieties has known a growing interest. However, the last non‐radioactive family member, namely tellurium, did not receive much attention. This review will present and discuss the state of the art chemistry of R F Te, to describe the available methods and highlight the future developments to consider.
