A simple and efficient electrochemical selenylation of uracils in the presence of NH 4 I for the synthesis of 5‐selenouracils has been developed. This transformation was performed in the transition metal‐free, oxidant‐free, and aerobic conditions, providing a rapid and practical protocol to 5‐selenouracil derivatives.
