Among solid‐state emissive maleimide dyes, aminomaleimide dyes are attracting much attention due to the variety of emission colors and functions. We recently reported 3,4‐diaminomaleimides, which show photoluminescence (PL) at long wavelengths (> 600 nm) despite their simple structures. In this work, 3,4‐diaminomaleimides were connected through a phenylene linker to form p ‐ or m ‐linked dimers. The PL properties were affected by the linking positions as well as the introduced amino groups. In addition, polymerization was conducted, and the emission color of the obtained polymer was dependent on the morphology.
