The Front Cover shows Superman holding a methyl group on his chest surrounded by nitrogen atoms illustrating the core unit of N ‐substituted porphyrins. Together with peripheral substituents from the crystal structure in the background, this illustrates the key features of N ‐methylated porphyrins: strongly distorted macrocycles, variable and regioselective degree of N ‐methylation and unusual physicochemical properties. Five years older than Superman these compounds have received little attention and the paper describes comprehensive synthetic and structural studies thereof. Cover design by Marie Roucan and Camille Crochepeyre. More information can be found in the Full Paper by M. O. Senge et al.
