The cover picture shows the schematic formation of cyclodextrin derivatives monosubstituted in positions 2, 3 or 6. Cyclodextrins monosubstituted with an allyl, cinnamyl, propargyl, formylmethyl, carboxymethyl, azido or amino group lend themselves towards further modifications. The four tulips in the background of the picture represent the cyclodextrins owing to their similar shape. The yellow stripe on the flowers is probably caused by a virus infection. Details are presented in the Microreview by M. Řezanka on p. 5322 ff .
