Bisumanenylidene, consisting of two sumanene components bridged by a double bond, was synthesized by McMurry coupling of monooxosumanene. Calculations and low‐temperature 1 H NMR spectroscopy experiments suggest that bisumanenylidene is likely to be dominantly present in the C 2 h symmetric structure rather than the C 2 symmetric one. Evidence for the extension of π conjugation in bisumanenylidene was shown by absorption and emission spectroscopy.
