The cover picture shows the Parthenon and the structure of pillar[5]arene. The structure of pillar[5]arene is a highly symmetrical pillar‐shaped architecture, which is similar to the pillars of the Parthenon. Thus, we named the macrocycle pillar[5]arene. Based on the various synthetic approaches, mono‐, di‐, tetra‐, penta‐ and per‐functionalized pillar[5,6]arenes can be synthesized. They are useful key compounds for a large library of functionalized pillar[5,6]arenes to construct various supramolecular assemblies. Details are presented in the Microreview by T. Ogoshi and T. Yamagishi on p. 2961ff.
