1‐[(Trifluoromethyl)thio]isoquinolines can be assembled through silver(I)‐catalyzed reaction of 2‐alkynylbenzaldoxime with silver (trifluoromethyl)thiolate in the presence of p ‐methoxybenzenesulfonyl chloride. The (trifluoromethyl)thio moiety (SCF 3 ) could be easily introduced into the scaffold of isoquinoline under mild conditions.
