An improved method for the efficient copper‐mediated trifluoromethylation of terminal alkynes has been developed. This protocol highlights the convenient access to a variety of aryl‐substituted trifluoromethylated alkynes by oxidative trifluoromethylation with two equivalents of TMSCF 3 at room temperature.
