The nucleophilic Fe complex Bu 4 N[Fe(CO) 3 (NO)] (TBAFe) has been used as a highly active catalyst for the mild hydrosilylation of a variety of functionalized aldehydes and ketones using inexpensive PMHS as stoichiometric reductant. The corresponding alcohols were obtained in good‐to‐excellent yields at low catalyst loadings of only 1 mol‐% and reaction temperatures of 30–50 °C.
