The successful preparation of the first bis( m ‐phenylene)‐32‐crown‐10/paraquat [2]rotaxane showed unambiguously that psuedorotaxane‐type complexation, rather than the taco‐complex‐type complexation previously observed in the solid state and in solution, exists – in solution – for complexation between bis( m ‐phenylene)‐32‐crown‐10 derivatives and paraquat derivatives.(© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
