Recent efforts in the field of thrombin inhibitor research have focused on the identification of pyrazinone‐containing compounds. In this manuscript we describe the synthesis of the new pyrazinones 12 – 36 . All the targets were fully characterised and screened for serine protease inhibition. (© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
