The intermolecular hydroamination of alkynes proceeds very smoothly in the presence of a catalytic amount of the aquapalladium complex [Pd(dppe)(H 2 O) 2 ](TfO) 2 . This reaction most probably proceeds through the formation of an equilibrium between the hydroxopalladium and the amidopalladium complexes, and subsequent aminopalladation of alkynes.
