β‐(Perfluoroalkyl)tetraarylporphyrin radicals, generated by the reaction of I(CF 2 ) n X ( n = 2−5; X = I, Cl) with porphyrins in the presence of Na 2 S 2 O 4 /NaHCO 3 in DMSO/CH 2 Cl 2 or DMSO, undergo cyclizations at the ortho position of a neighbouring phenyl ring and/or adjacent pyrrolic unit to give five‐, six‐, seven‐, and eight‐membered fused porphyrins.
