When colorless prisms of propargylallene 1 were heated at 192−200 °C, 1 changed to dark copper‐brown crystals of furofuran derivative 2 without any melting. The solid‐state mechanism of the reaction was studied by DSC, FT‐IR and X‐ray analyses. (© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, 69451 Weinheim, Germany, 2003)
