The Front Cover establishes an analogy between a metal music concert and the catalytic hydroformylation reaction. It shows a drummer, who represents the reusable metal catalyst performing a concert (the hydroformylation reaction) under the flag of Green Chemistry. The drum components symbolize the reagents (olefin, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen) that are mixed together to produce aldehydes as a musical sound. The joyful audience represents the main value‐added products (amines, acetals, and alcohols), which can be obtained from this sustainable chemical transformation.
