The Front Cover shows that functional iron borates with cubic and spherical morphology, coated with polydopamine (PDA) and having gold nanoparticles (Au) deposited on their surface, could help in cancer treatment methods such as photothermal therapy (PTT) and boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT). If they can be targeted directly like a dart, they can destroy cancer cells. The functional Fe 3 BO 6 @PDA–Au and FeBO 3 @PDA–Au nanoparticles introduced herein can be used simultaneously or separately in PTT and BNCT applications.
