The Cover Feature shows a previously unknown class of photophysically active materials and its emission mechanism. Six novel bidentate cyclometalated imidazolinylidene (C C*) platinum(II) complexes in combination with auxiliary β‐diketonate ligands were synthesized and characterized in detail. Especially the phosphorescent emission and its decay time was experimentally studied and supported by quantum chemical DFT calculations. The emission in the sky‐blue region of the visible spectrum recommends the complexes for a potential application in OLEDs. More information can be found in the Full Paper by T. Strassner and S. Stipurin.
