The Front Cover shows the formation of multiply fused porphyrin tapes on a surface by the oxidative gas phase reaction of metalloporphyrins. The metal center (Fe III , Co II , Ni II , Cu II , Zn II , or Pd II ) governs the formation of doubly or triply linked porphyrin tapes and affects the near‐infrared absorbance and the electrical conductivity of the films.
