The Front Cover shows the methodology and main results of the study on a background of a transmission electron micrograph of the (Gd,Ce) 2 O 2 S nanoplates. A colloidal solution of 10 nm wide nanoplates with a controlled ratio of gadolinium and cerium was prepared. The nanoparticles were then isolated as a powder, which exhibited the expected Ln 2 O 2 S lamellar crystal structure. The magnetic moment could be decreased by increasing the cerium fraction.
