The Front Cover shows the SWEET SENSING strategy that enables carbohydrate‐appended TQNPEN [ N , N , N ', N '‐tetrakis(2‐quinolylmethyl)‐3‐aza‐1,5‐pentanediamine] derivatives to detect intracellular Cd 2+ by means of fluorescence signals in HeLa cells. The attachment of carbohydrates, especially glucose, to TQNPEN significantly improves cell membrane permeability and intracellular distribution of the compound. More information can be found in the Full Paper by Y. Mikata et al. For more on the story behind the cover research, see the Cover Profile .
