The employment of ( E )‐4‐(2‐hydroxy‐3‐methoxybenzylideneamino)‐2,3‐dimethyl‐1‐phenyl‐1,2‐dihydropyrazol‐5‐one (HL) for the first time in 3d/4f chemistry, without any co‐ligand, provides access to a disk‐like heptanuclear Co II 3 Dy III 4 coordination cluster displaying single molecule magnetism (SMM) behavior. The topology of this compound has hitherto not been observed in Co II /Dy III chemistry.
