The monomeric compounds [GeCl{(N t Bu) 3 SCH 2 PPh 2 }] ( 1 ) and [SnBr{(N t Bu) 3 SCH 2 PPh 2 }] ( 2 ) have been synthesized from equimolar reactions of [(tmeda)Li{(N t Bu) 3 SCH 2 PPh 2 }] and GeCl 2 · dioxane or SnBr 2 , respectively, to introduce the N , N′ ‐chelating triimidosulfonate anion Ph 2 PCH 2 S(N t Bu) 3 – . The complexes were fully characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray structural analysis, NMR spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry.
