This communication describes a straightforward and tuneable one‐pot aqueous synthetic route towards an array of nanomaterials spanning gold nanoparticles, hollow tungsten oxide structures and single‐crystalline polyoxometalates (POMs). Furthermore, the POMs synthesized by this method are capable of producing a second collection of colloidal gold nanoparticles under mild synthetic conditions without toxic reducing agents and other pretreatments.
