A series of new [Cr 2 Ln 2 ] (Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu) complexes 1 – 6 is reported with phenyl 2‐pyridyl ketoxime ( ppkoH ) acting as a ligand and with a new oximato‐bridged butterfly‐like complex core. Compounds 1 – 6 were characterized mainly by X‐ray diffraction studies, EDX, elemental analyses, IR spectroscopy and studies of magnetic properties, the latter showing negligible coupling of the Cr 3+ ions in 1 .
