The cover picture shows an eruption of the geyser “Old Faithful” in Yellowstone National Park in the United States (photograph by courtesy of A. Glöckner, Braunschweig). The eruption illustrates the release of strain energy upon ring‐opening polymerisation (ROP) of a tin‐bridged ansa ‐cycloheptatrienyl–cyclopentadienyl titanium sandwich complex, which can be initiated thermally or by anionic ROP. Strain release is also achieved by regioselective insertion of a Pt(PEt 3 ) 3 moiety (M 0 ) into the Sn–C bond between the tin atom and the seven‐membered ring with formation of a platinastanna[2]troticenophane. Details are discussed in the article by M. Tamm et al. on p. 1727 ff.
