Abstract [(CH 3 ) 2 CHNH 3 ] 2 [UO 2 (CrO 4 ) 2 ] is the first uranyl chromate with a bidentate coordination mode between the uranyl and chromate ions. Although this type of coordination is typical for sulfates, it has not been previously observed for other group VI elements. Statistical analysis of the bidentate coordination geometry parameters in uranyl compounds is given.
