A new boron oxide organic open‐framework compound with (H 2 en)Cl 2 as a template was synthesized solvothermally and characterized by various techniques such as elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, and luminescence. The framework is built up from neutral [B 6 O 9 ] layers linked by ethylenediamine molecules through coordinative B–N bonds.(© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, 69451 Weinheim, Germany, 2009)
