SnO 2 , Fe 2 O 3 , and BiOCl fibers were synthesized from the corresponding chloride salts through a combination of templating and solvothermal processes. All the fibers possess distinct surface morphologies and lengths up to tens or hundreds of micrometers. Significantly, the BiOCl fibers with a novel heterogeneous structure were first prepared. The as‐prepared BiOCl fibers exhibit good photocatalytic activity for the degradation of methyl orange in aqueous medium under UV irradiation.(© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
