The allenylcarbene complex [OsCl 2 {=CPh(η 2 ‐CH=C=CHPh)}(PPh 3 ) 2 ] undergoes coupling reactions with HC≡CSiMe 3 and PhC≡CC≡CPh to produce the fulvene complexes [OsCl 2 {η 6 ‐C 5 H 2 (Ph)(SiMe 3 )(=CHPh)}(PPh 3 )] and [OsCl 2 {η 6 ‐C 5 H(Ph) 2 (C≡CPh)(=CHPh)}(PPh 3 )], respectively. A similar coupling reaction also occurs between [OsCl 2 {=CPh(η 2 ‐CH=C=CHPh)}(PPh 3 ) 2 ] and styrene.(© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, 69451 Weinheim, Germany, 2007)
