A truly functional model system for molybdenum oxotransferases provides evidence for all biologically realistic intermediates, namely mononuclear Mo VI , Mo V and Mo IV species. Dinucleation to EPR‐silent [Mo V 2 O 3 ] species prevailing in homogeneous solution is suppressed by immobilising the active species to a polymeric support by two‐point attachment.(© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
