Dehydrosilylation reactions between t Bu 2 AlH and E(SiMe 3 ) 3 yielded the four‐membered heterocycles [ t Bu 2 AlE(SiMe 3 ) 2 ] 2 (E = Sb, 1 ; Bi, 2 ), whereas no reaction was observed with P(SiMe 3 ) 3 . In contrast, the reaction of t Bu 2 AlH with HP(SiMe 3 ) 2 also proceeds with elimination of Me 3 SiH and subsequent formation of [ t Bu 2 AlP(H)SiMe 3 ] 2 ( 3 ). Complexes 1 – 3 were characterized by multinuclear NMR ( 1 H, 13 C{ 1 H}, 31 P{ 1 H}) and mass spectroscopy, elemental analysis, andsingle‐crystal X‐ray diffraction.(© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
