The terminal phosphanyl phosphinidene complex [Cp*Ta(Ph)(P 6 Ph 5 )] ( 2 ) has been isolated in 16 % yield from the reaction of [Cp*TaCl 4 ] with 2 equiv. Na 2 (P 4 Ph 4 ) and displays an η 4 ‐bound (P 6 Ph 5 ) 3– ligand according to X‐ray crystallography and 31 P NMR spectroscopy. (© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, 69451 Weinheim, Germany, 2006)
