The cover picture shows the absorbance of incident UV light in the bipyridine chromophore of a polypyridyl complex of terbium(3+). Subsequent energy transfer to the metal centre results in a metal‐centred emission of VIS light. Topical aspects are presented in the Microreview by A. Døssing on p. 1425ff.
