Two photoluminescent coordination polymers, {[Cu 10 (μ 3 ‐Mtta) 3 (μ 4 ‐Mtta) 7 ] · 2H 2 O} n ( 1 ), containing 2‐D wavy motifs with inorganic buckybowl analogues, and [Cu 5 (μ 3 ‐Mtta) 2 (μ 4 ‐Mtta) 3 (NH 3 ) 2 ] n ( 2 , Mtta = 5‐methyl tetrazolate), were obtained by the control of solvents and auxiliary complexing agent. The ligand Mtta is a likely candidate for the construction of metal‐organic, fullerene‐like molecules. The luminescent properties of 1 and 2 are discussed. (© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
