The methylated compounds [(AlMe) 6 (AlNMe 3 ) 2 (CCH 2 Ph) 6 ] ( 4 ), [(AlMe) 6 (AlNMe 3 ) 2 (CCH 2 CH 2 SiMe 3 ) 6 ] ( 5 ) and [(AlMe) 6 (NCH 2 C 4 H 3 S) 6 ] ( 6 ) were synthesized in good yields from the corresponding hydride derivatives by treatment with AlMe 3 in toluene. The X‐ray single crystal structures of 4· x C 7 H 8 , 4· 4C 7 H 8 and 6 were determined. In 4· x C 7 H 8 the solvent molecules are arranged in infinite channels along the c axis.
