Reaction of pyridine with the “constrained geometry” fluorenyl(hydrido)yttrium complex {[(3,6‐ t Bu 2 Flu)SiMe 2 N t Bu]Y(H)(THF)} 2 selectively gives the 1,4‐addition product [η 5 :η 1 ‐(3,6‐ t Bu 2 Flu)SiMe 2 N t Bu]Y(η 1 ‐NC 5 H 6 )(py) 2 , which was characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction and 1 H and 13 C NMR spectroscopy.
