Self‐assembly reactions of the triply‐bonded dirhenium complex cis ‐[Re 2 Cl 2 (dppm) 2 (O 2 CC 5 H 4 N‐4) 2 ] with cis ‐protected Pt II and Zn II precursors have produced heterometallic squares. Analogous reactions with Ag(O 3 SCF 3 ), cis ‐[Re 2 Cl 4 (O 2 CCH 3 ) 2 (H 2 O) 2 ] and [Rh 2 (O 2 CCH 3 ) 4 ] have yielded mixed‐metal polymeric structures. These results demonstrate that the isonicotinate ligand is useful for accessing heterometallic structures involving metal−metal bonded complexes. (© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
