To decrease lightning damages to wind turbines and maintain public safety around the wind turbines, it is very important to improve wind‐turbine performance related to lightning protection and minimize damage to the wind turbine. In this paper, we summarize the latest trends in technologies for sound operation of wind turbines against lightning.
