Recently, multidimensional actuators have been attracting considerable interest as a solution for increases in size and weight. In this paper, we propose a position feedback control method using optical image sensors for an actuator with three degrees of freedom. The validity of this control method is verified on the basis of the measurement results. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
