COVER PHOTOGRAPH : Whole mount immunostaining of HH29 stage avian embryonic chimeric heart (ventral view). Quail (donor) proepicardial‐derived vascular cells, labeled in red with the QH1 antibody, contribute to ventricular coronary blood vessel formation. Intravascular injection of Lens culinaris ‐FITC (green) counterstains all donor and host coronary vessels and endocardial domains connected with the systemic flow. From: Avian embryonic coronary arterio‐venous patterning involves the contribution of different endothelial and endocardial cell populations ; Paul Palmquist‐Gomes, Juan Antonio Guadix and José M. Pérez‐Pomares; Developmental Dynamics 247: pp 686–698 .
