As the primary enforcement authority for Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Office for Civil Rights routinely reviews complaints by postsecondary students who have requested but have been denied accommodations, academic adjustments, and auxiliary aids. Many accommodation requests that make up the workload of disability services offices center around test accommodations, attendance and assignment accommodations, and housing accommodations, rather than auxiliary aids.
