The National Association of the Deaf, on behalf of its members; private individuals on behalf of themselves; and a proposed class have settled a complaint against Harvard University in a case seeking declaratory and injunctive relief requiring Harvard to provide timely, accurate captioning of the audio and audiovisual content Harvard makes available online to the general public for free. The consent decree states: “With the mutual intent of increasing access to Harvard's online audio and video content for deaf and hard‐of‐hearing people, the Parties have jointly agreed to the final disposition of this action in its entirety by Consent Decree.”
