Along with the legally mandated services provided under its Disability Resource Center, the University of Arizona operates a Strategic Alternative Learning Techniques Center that offers supplemental educational and counseling assistance to students with learning and attentional challenges. SALT Center Executive Director Gabrielle Miller described the components of what is believed to be one of the oldest such support centers.
