Since the inception of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the idea of disability in university settings has mushroomed into the creation of fully fledged offices that center on disability services for individuals with disabilities. Despite those services being required under disability laws and necessary to ensure equal access and full participation for people with disabilities, their existence falls significantly short of the evolution of the epistemology of disability itself.
