In April 2016, Wichita State University in Kansas received a complaint filed with the Office for Civil Rights. The complaint alleged the university had discriminated against a blind student in violation of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 by using inaccessible electronic and information technology, including inaccessible class assignments and tests; providing inaccessible work stations; and not providing alternative accessible formats of print materials and class assignments in a timely manner. In July 2016, WSU entered into an agreement with the National Federation of the Blind to resolve these complaints.
